Program: Ascent Wellness & Medical Spa, Dr. Kim Westbrook

Introduction: Kelly Wolfe/Kerry Greaser

Kim Westbrook is an OBGYN at the Ivinson Group. She recently opened a medical spa. Dr. Westbrook has dreamt of this for a long time. She sees it as an opportunity to better understand and react to the vulnerabilities and insecurities that detract from us feeling out best.

Insurance funnels into specific areas that don’t always apply to wellness. The wellness and medical spa is cash-based services, with some support from insurance depending on the treatment.

The spa helps people outside of the traditional way. Dr. Westbrook is most passionate about the wellness side. The mottos is Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good. The spa is located on North 22nd Street.

The team has a great medical background. It can provide Botox, facial treatments, skin treatments, micro needling, hair restoration, and other services.

These treatments can help people appear more natural. They can help with anti-aging, red spots, pigments, and acne.

The spa offers complete wellness programs with a dietician, weekly check ins, support groups, guidance for nutrition and hydration, exercise, sleep, and stress management, and behavioral therapy. Memberships are offered.

The spa offers muscle building devices to use to strength muscles and functionality. There are many uses such as working on urinary incontinence, pelvic floor strengthening, and improving movement.

The chair uses electromagnetic energy to provide pelvic floor help in six sessions over three weeks. One session is the equivalent of 11,000 Kegels in 28 minutes.

The emface is a face lift by building muscles. It is a series of 4-8 treatments.

The emsculpt NEO helps with fat burning over 4-8 treatments. It body sculpts and reduces visceral fat. One session is the equivalent of 28,000 sit ups in 30 minutes.

These devices can help with chronic pan, age-related muscle loss, pre and post-surgery needs, and prepping for certain activities. There are no age limitations.

All clients go through a consultation with Dr. Westbrook to determine what is feasible.

Response: Keith Rittle

Response: The Rotary Club of Laramie will make a donation to the public library children’s book fund in the speaker’s name.
