Program: Wyoming Secretary of State, Chuck Gray
Introduction: Jerry Gruber
The Secretary of State gave an overview of the divisions in his department: business, compliance, elections, fiscal and technology.
The business division handles entities, filings, trade names, and trademarks. There are over 80 different types of forms. The office holds the bucking horse and rider trademark.

For records, there are 300,000+ LLCs, 55,000+ corporations, and 8,000+ nonprofit organizations. The office is working on the logistics of “foreign” record issues to get a handle on the “Cowboy Cocktail.”
For a legislative review and goals, the department worked on prohibiting foreign land ownership and digital asset regulation. These bills failed. A bill about the abuses of Title 17 passed.
For elections, bills passed that eliminated cross-over voting and strengthened the voter ID regulations. A bill that didn’t pass was related to ranked choice voting.
Other election bills included increases transparency on voter registry lists, voter ID and absentee ballots, specific election records that are not subject to disclosure, and codified air gap machines for elections. This means the machines do not have access to the Internet. Gray is also looking at the early voting period, as Wyoming has one of the longest early voting periods in the country.
The compliance division handles investments and notaries.
Gray serves on the State Board of Local Commissioners, the State Loan and Investment Board, and the State Building Commission. He serves as the Lieutenant Governor.
Gray opposes ESG on all levels.
