Introduction of the Program: Caitlin White

Program: Club Assembly in two parts: 1) Becky Maddox going over the Duck Race and 2) Tim Eisenhauer and Jamie Stine looking at Club Visioning

Duck Race, July 20 – Becky Maddox is Duck Race Chair and recognized other committee members: Christie Roberts, Randi Downham, Amanda Givan, Murray Schroeder, Shaun Bullock, Raj Patel, Steve Morgan, Tim Eisenhauer,  and Jaime Stine. Members must sell their 12 tickets and put the names of people (not companies) on the stubs.  Members are expected to pay the full $10 each (not 3 for 25) if they buy then themselves.  Tickets are due to Randi Downham by June 20, then you can sell some more!

The grand prize will be $2500, donated by Premier Bone and Joint.  Becky encourages selling or giving away tickets to people with kids, as this is truly a family event.  She gave a variety of ideas for people to sell them to and ideas for making he pitch.
This year there will be an online promotion with tickets for sale, posters around town, the booth at the Farmer’s Market for three weeks and other forms of promotion.

Bottom line: we need to sell 1200 more tickets after we sell our allotted 12 each so everyone needs to help out. This year we have 2500 ducks, which is up from previous years with 1500 then 2000.  This is a great club fundraiser and we encourage everyone to do their part!

Club Visioning – Tim and Jaime went over the results from the Club Visioning exercise.  Overall the members are involved and satisfied with the club, but a few areas could use improvement like new member involvement and improving our demographic diversity. Weekly meeting are generally well received and effort is being made to get a broader range of program topics, roughly representing the 5 avenues of service.  Types and number of service projects had mixed reviews, while satisfaction with the board is generally good.  People do value club membership for a variety of reasons and the board has made headways in making membership more affordable and accessible.
